Hi everyone it's Kelly and I have another design team project for the Paper Nest Dolls.   This digi is called I love art and I wanted to do a very colorful theme to this pieced card as well.  I added a little lip stick to the doll and I love the art behind her as well this is a really fun image to color.  Super cute!

Birthday Emma

Hi everyone !! I'm Carol Kruger VanderWesthuizen
and I am a guest designer for The Paper Nest Dolls today.

I'm a SAHM with three lovely boys aged 17, 15 and 10. Married to my best friend for 18 years, I am truly blessed. Have been living in the UK now for 6 and a half years, originally from South Africa. I began my card journey in October 2009 and am so addicted now that I wonder what I ever did with my time before this. My biggest luv is colouring with my Copics. Its's crazy, there just never seems to be enough hours in the day to craft lol !

I am so honoured to be a Guest Designer for The Paper Nest Dolls. For my card I have used the adorable Birthday Emma, which can be found in the store here.

Sparkler Ellie & Blog Hop Winners!

Good Morning folks, Katrina here and I'm finally back in the land of keeping up with myself!

Hope you're all well! I'm so excited to be here today to be sharing this project with you - it's something a bit different for me. I just fell head over heels for Sparkler Ellie when I saw her on the new release - you can purchase her here in the shop - then I had this idea of making something special for my certain little lady who will turn 6 in just a few days time - she loves to sit and draw and write so what would be better than her own personalised notebook!

I just LOVE how she has turned out, the image was coloured with copics.

I also used some of the beautiful MME Collections 'Memories' 6x6 paper stack, I'm so head over heels for this set well I hope you like her - The Prima Pearls flourish just finished it off for me - if you would like more details on my project then please pop to my blog :)

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon and remember to join in with the current challenge on The Paper nest Dolls Challenge Blog

We'd also like to thank everyone who participated in our Summer Release Blog Hop this past weekend! Here are the winners from the hop:

Copic Hair Color 2 & Skin Tone 1...

Hey everyone Heather here from Heather's Hobbie Haven.
I have a new hair color for you.
How about another blonde this week.
I color from dark to light, but if you color from light to dark that’s great to.
Just reverse the color order.

I used Copic Markers
The order I colored her hair.

For the Color Sheet and How to Video see
Hair Post 1.

I also have a few skin tones in my swatch book
and thought you might like to add those to your own book.
Here is the Emma Color Sheet if you would like to follow along.

Just click on the picture to save.

These cut up to fit in a 3 x 4 page protector.
Works great in my Sn@p Album.

This is my favorite skin tone.
I use it all the time.
Until I find a new favorite that is.

The order I colored her skin:

I hope your having fun coloring with me.
Don't get behind!
See you next week.

Paper Nest Dolls mermaid with dolphin

Hi everyone it's Kelly and I have a design team project for the Paper Nest dolls to share with you.  It is the digi mermaid with dolphin.  I decided to do a layout instead of a card and I will put pictures on this as soon as they are developed but I used quite a few different techniques here.  The layout is 12 x 12 and I used mesh burlap, flowers, bling, pearls, metal dots, paper from DCWV, and some Lindy's Stamp gang sprays on the background paper and some splatters on the smaller mat.  I love this layout and the image it's great for any beach themed project.  The mermaid is super fun to color!  I used a "this is fabulous" title because that's exactly what I think of the beach.

A Match Made in Heaven..... =)

Hey it's Nikki here with The Paper Nest Dolls........This has been a super busy week with posts for me, 3 in the last week! Christine asked me if I would do a special post using 2 of her images, Patchwork Ellie and Oldtime Owen. How could I say no? They are simply adorable.....

I used Copic markers to ink these 2 lovely stamps up. I used my favorite skin colour combo on both of them, E000, E00, E11 and R20. Their hair colour is also the same using E50, E51, E53 with a dash of E55. Their matching outfits were done with V12, V15, V17, BG34, BG57 and BG49. Old Time Owen's pants were done with E41, E42 and E43. The flowers and grass around their feet are inked with YG23, YG25, Y08, YR09, RV25 and Old Time Owen's bouquet is done with R46. Don't they make the cutest couple EVER???

Both cards were made with Gina K Kraft card stock and both are square cards that are 5.5X5.5" size. I used MME Lime Twist paper on Patchwork Ellie and MME Miss Caroline's Dilly Dally patterned paper on Old Time Owen. I added some cool embellishments to both cards to tie them all together. Hope you enjoy..... stay crafty my friends......
